I think Never Say Die is Black Sabbath’s best album from the Ozzy era and might have even been better if they had completed it with Ozzy. Never Say Die, Sabotage and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath are musically their most sophistocated and technical albums. Listen to the jazzy parts on Air Dance.

The product of all this angst is a diverse album unified only but the distinctively metallic sound of Iommi’s guitar (you’ll have to listen to the album to see what I mean). Sabbath still rocked, with tracks like Never Say Die, Johnny Blade and Shock Wave about as full-on any in the early catalogue.

's "Never Say Die!" has the unfortunate connotation (along with 's "Forbidden") of being "The worst Black Sabbath album ever". It's easy to see why it gets tagged as such - was not a great year for Ozzy, Tony, Geezer and Bill, and to say that they were not functional as a band would be a massive understatement.

After quitting briefly following the band's previous tour, singer Ozzy Osbourne returned to Black Sabbath for 's Never Say Die! The title track kicks things off with a promising bang but ultimately lacks enthusiasm; a pleasant surprise arrives in the very original and experimental "Air Dance," featuring tasteful piano flourishes from leading session keyboardist Don tiphoregcingnehdeporlowaverthocan.co: Sanctuary Uk.
